Disney offers one of the most unique cruise experiences afloat. The Disney Cruise Line consists of two ships, which prove to be the ultimate family option providing a wonderful experience for both parents as well as children. The ship has 11 decks, which virtually gives the impression of a floating resort. The unique feature of this cruise line is providing the children an opportunity to meet Disney characters. The ship has both large and small theatres in which live shows and movies are played to entertain the crowd. The ship holds deck parties, theme dinners, character breakfasts, etc. The cruise spa caters to the younger generation, one of the highlights being the rainforest steam room. Many children's programs are organized by the cruise ship and are run by dozens of youth counselors, along with scheduled character greetings throughout the day. The ship also includes a nursery, where infants through the age of three can be taken care of giving parents some free time to themselves. These ships are geared to provide a complete family experience but are very elegant and user-friendly. A major drawback for the ship is that it does not have a casino or a library, which may be expected from parents and other adults since these are common entertainment facilities on other cruises. However, Disney’s cruise line is more geared towards a family vacation and the absence of a casino may be appropriate. Since these facilities are not available in the ship the customers may opt for some other cruise. The fleet of ships with Disney cruise lines is very small as compared to its competitors; which means it caters to only a few destinations. This is expected to change in the near future as Disney expands its fleet of ships as they are still new to the cruise industry. The rooms in the ship come in many varieties and at different price levels. A majority of the rooms are outside staterooms with nearly half of them coming with verandas. The cost for a standard inside stateroom ranges between $829-$1699 US and can go as high as $3899-$4999 US for a Royal suite with verandah, for the entire cruise. The ship has three swimming pools for relaxing family fun. One pool is only meant for adults, the second for children and the third one being a family pool. Generally the other cruise lines have one or two swimming pools but Disney Cruise wants its cruise to be a complete family experience. Another distinctive feature of Disney cruises are that their cabins have a bath-and-a-half, and a rotating dining room in which passengers eat at three different restaurants. Similar to the procedures of other cruises, the dinner is with the same tablemates and wait-staff for the duration of the trip. The ship has a sports court and a soccer area for people who have an inclination towards athletics and a pub with stadium seating capacity for party lovers. All in all Disney cruises offers a good mix of fun for the entire family! For more reviews of other cruises, Click Here. |
