The atmosphere is pretty laid back. Although there may not be many things to do onboard in terms of entertainment (other than an art auction, a casino, and a fitness centre), you will have the chance to relax and read a book, chat will fellow passengers, or simply enjoy time together with your significant other. In terms of the staff, crew members have exceptional service because there are 1.5 passengers for every crew member. They are always smiling and attentive, and will get to know what you like.

At each port, there is a handful of exciting shore expeditions. The ships also have a water sports platform, where passengers can enjoy free activities such as kayaking, snorkeling, water skiing, windsurfing, and banana boat rides.

An advantage of vacationing with Windstar cruise lines is that you automatically become a Foremast Club member for free, which means that you can enjoy occasional discounts on select cruises. Additional benefits include membership transfers to other cruise lines such as Carnival, Costa, and Holland America.
